Zurich in North America
Zurich is currently looking for a Legal Collections Specialist to work out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.
The Legal Collections Specialist performs complex finance operations tasks and monitors the day-to-day relationships between the Organization and suppliersπαν ensure financial goals are being met and third-party vendors operate in compliance with required policies and procedures. He/She may perform collections and receivables management duties for the more complex accounts referred to special collections, including bankruptcies on accounts designated as legal collections.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Perform as an initial point of escalation for Finance Operations Associate providing technical guidance and work direction
Respond to internal and external client’s inquiries by providing technical advice in a professional, timely and accurate manner in complex situations
Proactively analyze performance of key performance indicators and communicate status and issues to management
Demonstrate an understanding of the customer’s needs, reviews process and procedures; recommend and implement continuous improvement
Lead and collaborate on moderately complex ad hoc projects
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Finance Operations area
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Finance Operations area
Certified Zurich Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and organic 4 or more years of experience in the Finance Operations area
Knowledge of financial collections practices and procedures
Knowledge of accounting standards and practice
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Insurance industry experience
Location: AM – Schaumburg, Remote Working: Hybrid, Schedule: Full Time, Employment Sponsorship Offered: No
Salary range: $71,100.00 – $116,500.00; short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
