**Position Title:**Water Systems Maintenance Crew Supervisor (Meter Shop)**Job Posting Closing Date:**01/20Provo City is seeking a full-time Water Systems Maintenance Crew Supervisor to oversee and assign the daily work of a water systems maintenance crew. For more information about benefits click here.* Plan, supervise, and participate in daily water systems maintenance operations, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.* Oversee installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of water infrastructure, including mains, service lines, valves, hydrants, meters, fountains, and sprinklers.* Coordinate and supervise excavation, pavement cutting, refilling, and restoration activities for water system projects.* Direct meter installation, rebuilding, testing, calibration, service taps, water line taps, and leak repair activities.* Be familiar with and utilize software programs Cayenta and Neptune360 to monitor meters and billing information.* Investigate and resolve system issues such as leaks and high or low water pressure problems.* Supervise, schedule, and coordinate assigned personnel according to work orders, priorities, and established procedures.* Train, develop, monitor, and evaluate employees.* Conduct performance appraisals and address disciplinary or recognition actions as needed.* Inspect tools and equipment, identify training or process improvement needs, and recommend and implement operational improvements.* Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.* Order parts and supplies and assist with budget preparation for the assigned area.* Serve as a technical resource, assist the section manager as needed (including acting in their absence), attend or lead staff meetings, and perform related duties as required.* High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)* Six years of professional water/wastewater operator experience (additional education may be substituted for experience as allowed by the State of Utah to qualify for unrestricted water distribution operator certification).* A valid, lawful Class A Commercial Driver License.* UT Water Distribution-Unrestricted Operator Grade II.* UT Water Distribution Grade IV Operator is preferred.* Experience working with water meters is preferred.Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on **January 21, 2026.** Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
