Country Club of the North is a premier private country club nestled alongside the Little Miami River in Xenia, Ohio, just minutes from The Greene and downtown Dayton. As part of an established, dynamic private country club with a commitment to remarkability, the Equipment Manager will play a key role in ensuring that the golf course and its supporting assets reflect the high standards and expectations of the membership and the professional team.
Equipment Manager Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing a comprehensive preventive maintenance and repair program for equipment used to maintain the golf course, all clubhouse grounds and common areas. This program includes diagnostic and necessary repairs of all equipment used throughout the club. Must be proficient with use of computers to facilitate ordering and record keeping. Must be capable of searching the internet for competitive pricing and securing needed replacement parts and supplies. Applicant must be capable of working with equipment provider personnel in correct diagnostics of equipment issues. Applicant must be willing to learn equipment functions as technology evolves. Applicant will be required to use Task Tracker in record keeping and managing equipment use. Applicant will be required to be punctual with preventative maintenance schedules on all units. Applicant will be responsible for training and managing assistant technician.
The Equipment Manager (EM) must be focused on daily cut quality of all reel mowers and rotary mowers. EM must be willing and able to grind reels and bed knives as needed throughout the growing season. Rotary blades must be sharp every time units leave the shop.
The EM will report to the Golf Course Superintendent.

Responsibilities
Examines, identifies and makes necessary repairs to mechanical failures on all maintenance equipment and operations equipment utilized throughout the club. This includes diesel, gas, and electric units. It also includes handheld units as well as all specialty equipment used in the turf management program.
EM must be able and willing to train assistant technicians. The focus is on cut quality for light and heavy‑duty mowing equipment.
EM will be involved in new hire understanding/training to enhance ability as equipment operators.
Daily inspection and adjustments must be made to units used each day. This is most imperative.
Must perform routine preventive maintenance services per manufacturer’s recommendations.
Communicate any needs and/or issues relating to the maintenance, repair and use of equipment to Director of Agronomy, and/or Superintendent.
Schedule and assign duties daily to assistant technician.
Must maintain organized and clean work area. Must comply with OSHA safety standards and practices.
Must maintain accurate records of repairs, preventive maintenance, and parts inventory.
Must assist in maintenance and repairs of maintenance facility.
Must be willing to evolve with new equipment technology. Continued education will be provided and encouraged by management.
