Job Description R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at our Kansas City, MO Service Center.
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment, consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers and, depending on location, forklifts, trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies and welding.
Requirements
Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
Must be able to handle major repairs
Experience with AC and electrical systems
Have the ability to lift 50 lbs
Must have own tools
Preferred
2+ years of diesel mechanic experience
Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins and Detroit engines
Experience using Cetaris work order software
Class A CDL holder
Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
Experience in trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
