Position Summary
Provides counseling referrals for resources available to victims of crime within the exterior boundaries of the Southern Ute Reservation. This position is a grade N12; pay is $27.56/hour.
Education and Experience
Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Must have 1 year of experience working with victims of crime, to include Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Assault and Battery, Child Abuse, Suicide, and Elder Abuse.
Must have general knowledge of court procedures.
Must be available 24 hours a day and respond to provide victim assistance services within an hour of being called.
Must have computer experience in software programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must sign a confidentiality agreement upon hire.
Must have a valid Driver’s License for state of residency and be insurable under the Tribal vehicle insurance policy.
Must be of excellent character and reputation and pass a thorough background check including fingerprints and pre-employment drug testing.
Preferred Qualifications
General knowledge of grants and budgets.
General knowledge of law enforcement procedures and terminology.
General knowledge of Tribal, Federal, and State criminal jurisdiction.
