We are currently accepting resumes for experienced MDS nurses to our nursing team. Progressive Quality Care is a company unlike any other in the long-term care industry. The MDS nurse position is open to both LPNs and RNs with at least 2 years of MDS experience in a skilled nursing facility.

Duties

Performs all duties within the guidelines of Progressive Quality Care.

Schedule and/or oversee scheduling of all resident MDS assessments to assure timeliness

Coordinate and oversee all functions of the MDS assessment process to assure compliance with federal and state guidelines

Interview residents, residents' representatives and others for information related to the minimum data set assessment

Review medical records and records related to residents' health status to collect information related to the MDS

Observe resident's to collect information related to the MDS assessment

Enter data into the computer program for minimum data set assessments

Electronically transmit MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state guidelines

Assesses resident and staff needs regarding the assessment process and provides the Administrator and Director of Nursing with comprehensive recommendations concerning the educational needs of the nursing staff.

Analyze quality indicator reports for potential concerns and review residents' care plans to be sure that all information is included

Participate in committee meetings and function on committees as assigned

Assist in educating staff in appropriate documentation to assure compliance with federal and state guidelines
