Compensation:
$64,126 per year

Job Overview We are seeking a School-Based Social Worker (MSW) to support elementary school students in Dutchess County, NY. This full-time role is ideal for clinicians who want a predictable school schedule, manageable caseloads, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through prevention, early intervention, and counseling services. The position offers strong clinical supervision, training toward licensure, and long-term professional growth in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide substance abuse and violence prevention and intervention services
Conduct screenings, assessments, intakes, and referrals
Deliver individual and small group counseling using evidence-based approaches
Facilitate classroom-based educational sessions
Provide crisis intervention as needed
Lead parent and faculty workshops
Collaborate with school staff, families, and clinical teams
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Population Served
Elementary school students (K‑8)
Presenting concerns: social anxiety, academic challenges, emotional regulation, early mental health concerns, experimentation with alcohol or substances
Qualifications Required:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
Preferred:
Experience working with children, adolescents, or school-based/community mental health
Interest in prevention-focused, school-based work
Supervision & Professional Development
Weekly individual supervision toward clinical licensure
Weekly group supervision
Ongoing training and continuing education opportunities
