About Our Practice At Bilingual Speech – Language & Swallowing Therapy we provide speech-language therapy services to individuals across all ages and populations, with a strong focus on serving bilingual and multicultural communities. Our team embraces cultural and linguistic diversity, and we are proud to support clients of all ages in achieving meaningful communication outcomes. We are currently looking for a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP CF) who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to providing inclusive, high-quality care. This role is ideal for a new graduate eager to develop strong clinical foundations with the guidance of experienced mentors in a collaborative setting. Position Summary As a Clinical Fellow, you will work under the supervision of a licensed SLP, conducting assessments and providing treatment services to pediatric and adult patients. Your responsibilities will involve evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders, planning treatment plans to everyone’s needs, and providing cultural and linguistically appropriate intervention. You’ll have the opportunity to build hands‑on experience across a range of age groups and diagnosis; all while being supported in your transition from student to practicing clinician.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and or swallowing evaluations in English and Spanish or Mandarin

Design and deliver customized therapy plans that reflect each client’s goals, culture, and language needs

Provide one‑on‑one treatment to clients across different age groups, from infancy to geriatric

Collaborate with families and caregivers, to support progress and continuity of care

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with professional and regulatory standards

Participate in ongoing clinical supervisory team meetings, and training opportunities

Share practical strategies with caregivers to help generalize skills outside the therapy setting

Promote an inclusive and culturally sensitive approach in every interaction

Collaboration with SLPs in rehab department and other disciplines outside of practice

Qualifications

Bilingual, Spanish, Mandarin, Bengali Speaking

Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program

Completion of graduate‑level clinical practicum and supervision hours

Eligible for Clinical Fellowship and New York State licensure

Proficient in English and fluent in Spanish or Mandarin

ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) eligibility or certification

Teachers of Students with Speech – Language Disabilities Certificate (TSSLD) preferred but not required

Bilingual Extension preferred not required

Passion for working with bilingual, multicultural clients and underserved populations

Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and organizational skills

Compassionate, team‑oriented, and eager to learn

Weekend availability required (Either Saturday or Sunday)
