Responsibilities
Execute high‑throughput, scale‑down robotic purification for early and late‑stage process development and viral clearance studies.
Develop robust, economical steps for recovering target proteins from bioreactor harvests using chromatography and filtration.
Perform laboratory‑scale process characterization and continuous process improvement to support downstream technology transfers.
Conduct diverse bioanalytical assays, including HPLC, ELISA, and SDS‑PAGE, to provide rapid feedback for process optimization.
Manage comprehensive data acquisition, analysis, and documentation within electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
Provide technical support for pilot and GMP manufacturing of clinical materials as required.
Evaluate and implement new technologies and innovative methods for purification processes.
Required Skills & Education
PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry with 0–2 years of experience; OR a Master’s degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience.
Strong biological scientific understanding and theoretical knowledge of protein chemistry.
Hands‑on experience with chromatography and filtration for biologics purification.
Proven ability to document experiments in electronic lab notebooks and communicate results effectively.
Preferred Skills
Experience with bioanalytical assays and methods (HPLC, ELISA, SDS‑PAGE).
Prior corporate or internship experience within a biopharmaceutical environment.
Direct experience with high‑throughput robotics or automated purification systems.
Previous experience in a laboratory setting with hands‑on technical skills.
