Work Schedule 183‑Work Day Calendar, 7‑7.5 hrs per day (determined by school)
Pay Hourly rate: $18.60+ (salary placement based on experience). Additional $1.00/hour for paraprofessionals in Center-Based Special Education programs (Affective Needs, SSN, CSD, TAP).

Job Summary Provide instructional support and assistance in meeting the educational needs of students under the direction and immediate supervision of a licensed school professional. Services are adjusted to Individual Education Plans (IEP) and the least restrictive environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support instructional programs and provide instruction for students in individual, small, and large group settings, implementing curriculum modifications and accommodations.
Assist students with special needs, including emotional issues, self‑help skills, motor skills, sensory needs, medical needs, and life skills.
Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution; enforce district behavior policies to address behavioral problems and meet behavioral goals.
Collaborate with special and regular educators and administrators on academic, behavioral issues, and observations; provide feedback and support to staff, administrators, parents, and outside agencies.
Assist the school professional with data collection, record updating, documentation, and maintaining student files and class records while ensuring FERPA compliance.
Attend and participate in district and building in‑service opportunities and committee work.
(Elementary/K‑8) Perform crossing guard duties as assigned, including training and directing safe traffic at crosswalks.
(Elementary/K‑8) Perform lunchroom monitor duties, including lining up students, opening trays, enforcing rules, leading students to the lunchroom, wiping tables, and organizing indoor activities during inclement weather.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Training & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Upload or scan transcripts if applicable.
0–2 years of experience (experience working with children with special needs preferred).
Knowledge of child development and behavior management preferred.
CPR and First Aid preferred.
Obtain Core District Special Education Paraprofessional training or meet requirements within 36 months of hire.
Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
Basic English, writing, and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment.
Criminal background check and district fingerprinting required.
