MACRO Industries, a leading aerospace and defense composites company, is seeking a
Quality Control Inspector
to handle inspections and testing for their Quality Department. The ideal candidate has previous quality inspection experience, is self‑motivated, organized, detail‑oriented, and flexible.
Responsibilities and Duties
Performs receiving inspections of inventory items, first‑article inspections, in‑process inspections, and final inspections of manufactured products
Schedules and performs material lot testing
Develops and maintains inspection reports
Ensures compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications
Maintains, logs, and tags calibration of quality control equipment
Prepares and maintains test data for review
Identifies areas for quality control improvement and implements new methods accordingly, per our Quality Management System (QMS)
Collects and organizes Certificates of Compliance for all incoming materials
Formats and organizes documentation for company quality standards, procedures, policies, work instructions and forms
Logs/documents inspection records for ceramic tile, backing, cut backing, spall thermal & panel inspections as well as final inspection
Performs as back‑up for all plant positions when needed
Creates and maintains data records in SharePoint and company databases
Processes, distributes, and maintains controlled documentation using a document control system
Processes documents for revision and approval
Monitors the distribution and reconciliation of process or reference documents
Trains staff on document control processes and procedures
Provides support to manufacturing shop as needed to meet delivery schedules
Provides support to Engineering for documentation as needed
May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in quality inspections
Ability to read engineering drawings
Ability to use calipers and scales for measurement
Understands tolerances and deviation
Strong computer skills
Understands various mathematical concepts including fractions, decimals & proportions
Strong communication skills
