La‑Z‑Boy Incorporated is hiring an In‑Home Design Lead to elevate design culture, support sales teams, and deliver personalized client solutions. This role blends client consultation, design concept development, and operational excellence in a retail environment. Responsibilities
Promote and manage the La‑Z‑Boy In‑Home Design program, including client needs assessment and customized portfolio presentation to reach store and individual design sales goals. Schedule and conduct in‑home consultations to understand client space, preferences, and vision. Collaborate with Store and Sales Managers to coach, train, and support sales teams on design culture, product knowledge, and sales techniques. Create design concepts and digital presentations, selecting finishes, furnishings, and decor that reflect client lifestyle, taste, and budget. Ensure proper execution of existing and new systems and administrative procedures, supporting store management and special projects. Maintain brand visual standards, including store cleanliness and adherence to legal accounting practices. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 2‑3 years of sales or interior design experience with a residential emphasis. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, CAD programs, financial understanding, and strong interpersonal communication. Valid driver’s license and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Compensation & Benefits
Total Compensation Range:
$26,000 – $90,000 per year (base, commission, bonus).
Post‑Training Base Pay:
$26,000 per year.
Commission:
3.5% on La‑Z‑Boy Design Sales, 2% on other sales.
Monthly Bonus Opportunity:
$0 – $2,000 based on individual sales goals. Benefits:
