Propio Language Services
provides critical interpreting and translation services that improve the quality of life in the communities we engage in. We offer both remote and on‑site services in more than 350 languages, to over 6,000 clients, supported by a diverse and highly experienced staff and over 8,000 contract interpreters.

We are currently seeking
Onsite Spanish Interpreters
in the
Oregon metro area
who have a sincere desire to use their language skills to help people and are passionate about what they do.
Contract Responsibilities
Provide consecutive in‑person and virtual (by phone and video) first‑person interpretation.
Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients.
Follow all Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards.
Establish and maintain quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health‑care providers, and clinical employees.
Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject‑matter knowledge, as required for various clients such as medical, legal, social services, etc.
Requirements
Submission of an updated résumé in English at the time of application.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Intermediate level computer skills.
Access to reliable transportation.
Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations, including but not limited to TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B (or declination), Tdap and seasonal influenza (flu) and Covid (dependent on location, federal and local regulations and business policies for healthcare and others).
Successful completion of a drug test and background check & security screen.
A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
1+ years of interpreting experience.
