This dual‑role position involves assisting in the management of dietary operations and leading the culinary team in preparing nutritious and appealing meals in accordance with our standards and guidelines. Duties and Responsibilities Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Plan and prepare menus that meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with the dietary manager to maintain inventory and ensure the availability of fresh and wholesome ingredients.
Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain consistency and quality standards.
Address and resolve any dietary‑related concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Keep up‑to‑date with the latest culinary trends and incorporate innovative recipes into the menu.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any repairs needed.
Compensation and Schedule
Pay: $20/HR
Full‑Time
Day Shift (Weekend as Needed)
Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Skills and Qualifications
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
A minimum of 1 year experience working in a nursing home facility.
Proven experience in a similar role within a healthcare or hospitality setting.
