Department: Athletics – Men’s Soccer
Essential Job Duties
Serve as Assistant Coach of the Division 1 Men’s Soccer program,.he overseeing and managing all aspects of the program and promoting the philosophies and objectives of the North Carolina State intercollegiate athletics program.
Embrace the Athletics Department’s strategic plan, ensuring compliance with NCAA and ACC rules.
Assist in scouting and recruiting student‑athletes, including on‑campus visits.
Coaching student‑athletes; evaluate their practice and competition performance.
Monitor conditioning and training of student‑athletes.
Assist in monitoring the academic progress and eligibility status of student‑athletes.
Maintain statistics and interface with officials.
Participate in public relations activities as approved.
Assist with budget preparations within the approved allocations.
Handle travel arrangements as assigned.
Participate in clinics, exhibitions, and camps as approved.
Attend appropriate coaches meetings.
Promote the philosophies and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program.
Other Responsibilities
Perform other duties and assist with special projects assigned by the Head Coach and Athletics Administration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum of two years of collegiate soccer coaching experience.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of NCAA bylaws.
Dedication to the success of student‑athletes in their academic and athletic endeavors.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with a Division 1 Soccer team.
Licenses and Certifications Required License(s) or Certification(s): None
Valid NC Driver’s License required: No
Commercial Driver’s License required: No
