Job Details All shifts (days and nights, weekdays, weekends, holidays, any weather) are available, and the position is on‑call/as needed. Pay is $17.00 per hour with weekly pay.
Benefits: eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) for qualifying employees working at least 20 hours per week or 500 hours per year, after six months of service.
Requirements
Reliable transportation.
One year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.
Exceptional report‑writing skills.
Ability to mentally analyze situations, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to read, understand written instructions and communicate information clearly.
Flex Officer Explanation The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes, enabling Sunstates to provide continuous, uninterrupted service to our customers while protecting staff health and work balance.
Scheduling Expectations
Will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need. Assignments are temporary.
Schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week) will vary based on operational need.
Will be assigned or offered shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
Some shifts will be scheduled in advance; others may be called with short notice.
Expected to work any scheduled shift within your availability; communicate unavailability in advance.
For short‑notice call‑ins, must work at least 80% of the shifts called. Refusal of more than 20% may negatively impact employment status.
Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent.
