Habitat for Humanity Greater Salt Lake Area is seeking a Major Gifts Manager
to grow and steward meaningful relationships with individual donors, business leaders, and community champions who believe everyone deserves a safe, affordable place to call home.
This role is ideal for a relationship‑driven fundraiser who thrives on connecting people to purpose, telling powerful stories, and turning generosity into lasting community impact.
What You’ll Do Major Gifts & Donor Relationships
Cultivate, steward, and grow a portfolio of major donors and prospects
Develop personalized engagement strategies that align donor passions with Habitat’s mission
Conduct donor meetings, tours, and stewardship touchpoints
Manage solicitation strategies for major gifts, multi‑year commitments, and special initiatives
Work closely with the CEO and Development team to build and execute major gifts strategy
Identify new donor prospects and partnership opportunities
Support capital, programmatic, and special project fundraising efforts
Track donor engagement and progress toward revenue goals
Stewardship & Engagement
Ensure meaningful donor recognition and impact reporting
Partner with marketing and programs to share stories, outcomes, and success metrics
Support special events, donor briefings, and community engagement activities
Data & Reporting
Maintain accurate donor records and reporting within the CRMTrack donor activity, revenue, and pipeline performance
Support forecasting and long‑term fundraising planning
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, communications, or related field
3–5+ years of experience in major gifts or individual giving
Proven success building and maintaining donor relationships
Strong communication and storytelling skills
Comfortable with donor meetings, asks, and stewardship conversations
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Passion for affordable housing and community impact
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with major donors, foundations, or high‑net‑worth individuals
Familiarity with donor CRM systems
Experience supporting capital or multi‑year campaigns
Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising best practices
