Primary Purpose of Position The Journeyman Electrical Service Technician is responsible for performing residential electrical service work, including troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and upgrades. This role ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local and national electrical codes.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including service panels, circuits, outlets, switches, and lighting.
Install new electrical systems and upgrade existing systems to meet customer needs and code requirements.
Perform residential Level 2 EV charger installations, including site assessments, panel upgrades, and permitting support.
Conduct safety inspections and code compliance checks.
Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with homeowners regarding work performed and recommendations.
Complete all required documentation, including service tickets, time logs, and material usage.
Ability to be on-call and respond to emergency situations.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
Adherent to all safety protocols and company policies.
Minimum Qualifications
5 years of residential electrical work experience
Valid State Journeyman Electrician License
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and state-specific code requirements
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Eligibility to meet Company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver's license
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience installing residential level 2 EV chargers
