Overview As an Account Executive, you will play a vital role in driving revenue growth by connecting advertisers with our engaged audiences. You will leverage your sales expertise and industry knowledge to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, identify new business opportunities, and deliver customized advertising solutions that meet their marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities And Essential Functions

Prospect and Acquire New Clients: Identify and prospect potential advertisers, including local businesses, and regional brands that align with our target demographic and marketing objectives. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to acquire new business and expand our client base.

Understand Client Needs: Conduct thorough needs analysis with clients to understand their advertising goals, target audience, and budget requirements. Tailor advertising proposals and solutions that effectively showcase the value of advertising on our radio stations, TV stations and digital properties.

Create Customized Advertising Solutions: Collaborate with clients to develop customized advertising solutions that leverage our unique offerings, including on-air spots, promotional events, digital platforms, and sponsorships. Ensure that advertising solutions align with client objectives and deliver measurable results.

Negotiate Contracts: Negotiate advertising agreements and contracts with clients, ensuring terms and conditions are mutually beneficial and meet both parties' expectations.

Provide Excellent Customer Service: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and ongoing support. Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, feedback, and campaign updates. Proactively address any issues or concerns to ensure client satisfaction.

Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities within the advertising and sports media landscape. Use this knowledge to identify emerging opportunities and position our station as a preferred advertising partner.

Required Qualifications

Proven track record of success in advertising sales, preferably in the radio broadcasting or media industry

Strong understanding of advertising principles, media planning, and sales techniques

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

Results-driven with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets

Physical Demands

Visual & Auditory: Ability to see, hear, and listen effectively in order to communicate and perform job tasks

Speech: Must be able to speak clearly and be understood by others

Mobility: Ability to move distances, push, pull, and drive as required by the role

Manual Skills: Frequent use of hands and fingers for tasks requiring dexterity, such as writing, typing, and handling objects

Lifting & Carrying: Occasional lifting and carrying of items, with specific weight and distance requirements based on task needs

Work Conditions

Primary Setting: This role operates primarily in a standard office environment

Schedule: May require flexibility in hours

Work Style: Includes a mix of working independently and collaborating closely with others

Interaction: Regular verbal contact with colleagues and others is required

Atmospheric Conditions: The office environment may involve periods of moderate noise typical to an active workplace
