$15.13/hr - $22.70/hr

By joining our Equipment Section as a Transportation Auto/Truck Technician I, you’ll have the opportunity to complete preventive maintenance and initiate equipment repairs in the Equipment Section in Campbell County.
Summary of Responsibilities
Maintain automotive vehicles and equipment by repairing, adjusting or replacing batteries; performing tune‑ups; replacing and adjusting head and tail lights; checking fluids and lubricants; changing filters and belts; changing, repairing and rotating tires; checking tire pressure.
Operate tools and machinery in the repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles and equipment.
Inspect and analyze automotive vehicles and equipment for repairs and service.
Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience In
Mechanic experience
Automotive and truck repair experience

Minimum Requirements Education:
High school graduate.
Experience, Training, or Skills:
Must have two years of automotive/equipment/truck repair technical experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
Vocational or technical school training in automotive/truck repair or a related area will substitute for the required experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
NONE
Special Requirements (age, licensure, regulation, etc.):
Must be 18 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a Class A commercial driver's license. Employees must furnish documentation of their Class A license within six months of employment. Maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment.
Working Conditions:
Incumbents working in this job title perform work in a repair facility or field setting.
