Job Description The Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto Insurance is an Allstate Business) is responsible for profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales and understanding customers’ needs to build rapport and trust. This position drives sales and builds and retains a book of business within the market/retail location. It attracts and generates new customers, cross‑selling existing customers, supports product offerings including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance, and markets products outside the office via marketing calls and in‑person visits.

Responsibilities

Drive new business sales and build rapport with customers.

Retain and grow existing book of business.

Attract and generate new customers and cross‑sell existing customers.

Market products outside of the office through marketing calls and in‑person visits.

Assist customers in the office.

Minimum Qualifications

0–2 years of experience.

P&C licensing (preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

Successfully closes sales of insurance and ancillary products.

Meets and exceeds sales goals through new product sales, cross‑sell, and customer retention.

Leverages community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain a physical presence.

Initiates outbound calling to established target customer base.

Monitors key competitors and makes suggestions on initiatives to improve company position.

Plans, implements, and manages marketing and sales processes with Direct Sales Leadership.

Delivers optimal results within metrics: quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance, while complying with Rules and Standards.

Understands and remains current on company underwriting guidelines, announcements, and memos.

Receives customer payments, issues receipts, and verifies reports of receipts for cash drawers.

Compensation Base compensation:

$20.00 per hour

Total compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.
