Amberstone is growing and we are seeking an experienced Master Carpenter to support our residential, emergency restoration, and light commercial operations. This role is for a seasoned professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands jobsite discipline, and sets the standard for how work should be done.
This is not a helper role and not a position for someone still learning the trade. We are looking for a carpenter who can execute independently, lead by example, and elevate the quality of work around them.
What this role involves:
Leading and executing carpentry work across multiple project types
Framing, drywall installation and finishing, and flooring work
Finish carpentry, repairs, and rebuilds following restoration work
Supporting remodels and interior improvements
Reviewing work for quality and correcting issues when needed
Maintaining clean, safe, and professional jobsites
Communicating clearly with project managers and field leadership
Required experience:
Strong hands‑on experience in carpentry and interior trades
Proven ability in framing, drywall, flooring, and general carpentry
Experience working in occupied homes and light commercial settings
Understanding of proper sequencing, materials, and workmanship standards
Ability to work independently and take ownership of results

Master Carpenter – Qualifications Experience & Background
(7+) Years of extensive hands‑on experience in carpentry within residential and light commercial environments
Demonstrated ability to complete complex carpentry work independently
Experience supporting remodeling, restoration rebuilds, and repair projects
Familiarity working in occupied homes and active jobsite environments
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in framing and general carpentry
Drywall installation, repair, and finishing experience
Flooring installation and repair experience (LVP, laminate, hardwood; tile coordination preferred)
Finish carpentry experience including trim, doors, casing, and detail work
Ability to assess existing conditions and determine appropriate repair or build methods
Execution & Work Standards
Ability to understand scopes of work, plans, and basic drawings
Knowledge of construction sequencing and proper installation practices
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to identify issues and complete corrective work efficiently
Commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and organized job sites.
Reliable, punctual, and accountable work habits
Professional communication with clients, team members, and leadership
Ability to work independently while collaborating with project managers and field teams
Willingness to support and guide other technicians through example
Additional Requirements
Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with carpentry work, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to operate standard tools and equipment safely
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, as required for the role
Willingness to comply with company policies, safety practices, and applicable regulations
