Plumber - HAB
Location: Cimarron, New Mexico (NM)
Position Overview Philmont is seeking a skilled and dependable Plumber to perform maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing fixtures, piping, and systems across the base. This role is responsible for conducting routine preventative maintenance and responding promptly to emergency plumbing issues to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operations.
Reports to the Supervisor of Facilities Services and works closely with the facilities team to support overall site functionality.

Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and equipment.
Diagnose and repair plumbing problems, such as leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures.
Install new plumbing fixtures, pipes, and systems as needed.
Respond to plumbing emergencies promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to base operations.
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of tools and equipment.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the base.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Competencies
Knowledge of plumbing systems, plumbing codes and regulations, various plumbing tools and techniques, basic electrical and mechanical systems related to plumbing.
Skill in problem‑solving and troubleshooting various plumbing issues; maintaining fitness and stamina to work in challenging conditions; interpersonal communication.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work in confined spaces and at heights, use plumbing, hand and power tools safely and effectively, and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
Education High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures.
Experience working in a remote or outdoor setting is a plus.
Must pass a criminal history background check.
Licenses Journeyman plumber license or certification (preferred).
