High school diploma or equivalent. Valid HVAC technician certification or license as required by local regulations. Proven experience in commercial HVAC system repair and maintenance. Strong understanding of refrigeration systems and electrical components related to HVAC. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree or technical diploma in HVAC technology or a related field. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Familiarity with energy‑efficient HVAC technologies and green building standards. Strong customer service skills and experience working in a client‑facing role. Responsibilities

Perform routine and emergency maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure continuous operation. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialized tools and equipment, and implement effective repair solutions. Install, test, and commission new HVAC and refrigeration equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with clients to assess system performance, provide technical advice, and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary. Maintain accurate service records, document repairs, and communicate effectively with team members and management regarding service status and parts inventory. Skills

The required skills in mechanical HVAC, HVAC repairs, electrical troubleshooting, commercial HVAC systems, and refrigeration systems are applied daily to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. The technician uses mechanical aptitude to disassemble and reassemble components, ensuring systems operate at peak performance. Electrical skills are essential for identifying wiring faults, testing circuits, and ensuring compliance with safety codes. Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems allows the technician to handle large‑scale equipment and understand system integration within commercial buildings. Preferred skills such as EPA certification and familiarity with CMMS enhance the technician’s ability to work safely with refrigerants and maintain detailed service records, improving overall service quality and regulatory compliance.
