Athletic Trainer – PRN Position – Supports Multiple Locations in Greater Raleigh Area

Key Responsibilities:
Provide on‑site athletic training services for local athletic events, including high school practices and competitions
Deliver immediate injury assessment, emergency care, and first aid during athletic events
Implement injury prevention strategies, including taping, bracing, and warm‑up/cool‑down protocols
Coordinate care and communicate effectively with physical therapists, physicians, coaches, school personnel, athletes, and families
Support return‑to‑play decisions in alignment with physician protocols and best practices
Document injuries, treatments, and incident reports in accordance with company, state, and regulatory standards
Educate athletes, parents, and coaches on injury prevention, rehabilitation compliance, and safe participation
Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements, NATA standards, and company policies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field required
Current state Athletic Trainer licensure (or eligibility) required
CPR and First Aid certifications required
CSCS through the NSCA preferred
Experience providing on‑site coverage for athletic events preferred
Strong clinical decision‑making and emergency response skills
Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented, high‑pressure environment
