About the Role:

The Production Shift Supervisor oversees all departments during the assigned shift, ensuring smooth daily operations and addressing any issues that arise. The role manages productivity, quality and safety, supporting the Production Manager's long‑term goals for efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to OSHA standards and promoting safety initiatives.

Manage staffing levels and coordinate with HR for recruiting and hiring as needed.

Oversee quality control processes and implement improvements as directed by executive staff.

Supervise and develop shift personnel, providing training and performance feedback.

Lead continuous improvement activities, including 5S and lean manufacturing practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

Communicate effectively with other shift managers and the Production Manager to ensure seamless transitions.

Uphold the company’s core values by demonstrating self‑lessness, a “can‑do” attitude, consistency in results, and integrity.

Key Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

4‑year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret operating instructions, procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups; bilingual English‑Spanish is a plus.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense to instructions; multitask and solve problems effectively.

Other Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience with ERP systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Self‑motivated, able to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to work outside normal business hours as required.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

May need to sit or stand as required; climb stairs and walk on a level surface periodically.
