Job Description

Supervises employees on an assigned shift to ensure manufacture of products, parts, components, or assemblies, or to perform service functions within established timing, quality, and cost standards.

Supervises production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements, including product integrity and production order documentation.

Directs all related personnel actions, including final selection, training, performance appraisal, discipline, safety, and grievance procedures in unionized environments.

Determines manufacturing priorities based on established weekly production schedules and makes daily assignments.

Interprets specifications and makes judgments about the acceptability of production that is in process.

Implements departmental safety programs to ensure safety of employees working in the area.

Directs routine equipment maintenance and set‑up.

Interfaces with plant manufacturing personnel as needed, coordinating and assisting in sanitation initiatives within the facility.

Leads the pre‑season startup checklist during May and June each year, ensuring all actions are completed and taking priority over production responsibilities.

Prioritizes the post‑season shutdown checklist and end‑of‑season cleaning whenever lines and areas finish their end‑of‑season production items (usually October).

Reviews audit requirements and ensures the site is prepared with all information needed to complete audit requirements.

Manages document control for all records, procedures and documents.

Compensation $77,800.00 - $97,300.00

Eligible for a performance‑based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
