The Back End Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager of the Back End. Responsibilities include supervising safety, quality, productivity, production performance, team performance, and coordinating work for Machining Centers and Material Special Processing cells. The supervisor ensures that productivity and dock goals are met daily, weekly, quarterly, and annually while complying with safety, quality, and engineering policies. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Sets the standard for working safely and following all safety policies, leading by example. Champions the 6S program for the department, evaluating 6S weekly, identifying improvement projects, and participating in events. Provides all required training for production employees and documentation. Recommends or implements measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Executes personnel actions such as hiring, evaluations, and promotions. Communicates and partners with leadership to resolve personnel problems, complaints, or grievances. Plans and directs production activities and establishes priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors. Adjusts production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems. Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to achieve optimum utilization of resources, machines, and equipment. Reviews and analyzes reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and production problems. Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality. Reviews variable costs, productivity, earned standard hours, and throughput daily and implements corrective actions when targets are not achieved. Maintains operations data and prepares management reports of production results. Determines standards, budgets, production goals, and rates based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads. Calculates labor and equipment requirements and production specifications using standard formulas. Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers. Observes work and monitors gauges, dials, and indicators to ensure operators conform to production standards. Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services. Required Skills
Excellent planning and organizational skills. Good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to present views clearly and compellingly. Able to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated project and team management capabilities that can meet aggressive deadlines. Strong facilitation, conflict resolution, and project management skills. Interacts well with a high degree of urgency to customers, and at all levels within the organization and across organizations. Confidence in working with ambiguity and handling complexity. Required Experience
2 years of supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, leading teams of 20+ people. Experience in aerospace/fastener/metals manufacturing industries, with strong knowledge of fastener materials preferred. Experience using ERP/MRP systems. Experience with screw and gun drill machines, and special metal processing such as heat treating, paint, dry lube, and chemical plating. Experience supporting NADCAP audits. Level of Education
BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or similar preferred. EEO Statement

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $85,300 to $127,900 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. Eligibility to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees receive 120 hours paid time off each year, 10 paid holidays, and full participation in the company’s medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, as well as the Company’s 401(k) plan.
