Associate Business Development Manager level Expected salary range of $71,100 to $79,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes commission and 401(k).

Business Development Manager level Expected salary range of $93,600 to $104,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes commission and 401(k).

Location This is a territory-based field sales role supporting clients in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. This role offers the flexibility to work from home, but candidates must reside within Kentucky, Indiana, or Tennessee. Our ideal candidate will live within the Louisville, KY; Indianapolis, IN or Nashville, TN areas.

This position requires up to 75% travel, locally within the geographic territory. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Travel expenses, including mileage, are covered by Constellation’s standard travel policy.

Primary Purpose of Position This sales professional will be responsible for prospecting, developing relationships with customers and acquiring new business.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities Associate Business Development Manager level:

Cultivate customer relationships with respective Fortune 500 companies.

Develop energy plans and strategies for Fortune 500 companies, prepare presentations and close sales transactions.

Understand customers business objectives, price risk tolerances and work with internal resources to develop energy hedging strategies that match the customer's needs.

Champion Constellation's core values, promote diversity and inclusion, and support the development and coaching of team members.

Drive sales results for power, gas and alternative energy products (e.g. demand response, solar, energy efficiency) in order to achieve gross margin quotas.

Drive unified sales platform by understanding core products (power and gas) in detail and by leveraging technical expertise to drive sales of alternative products (e.g. demand response, solar, energy efficiency).

Travel required as necessary to meet business needs

Business Development Manager level:

Ability to identify, prospect and contact high-level decision makers in respective businesses and cultivate client relationships.

Cultivate customer relationships with respective Fortune 500 companies.

Outstanding communication skills with the ability to speak in front of groups and key decision makers.

Understand customers business objectives, price risk tolerances and work with internal resources to develop energy hedging strategies that match the customer's needs.

In-person attendance for training, all-hands meetings, and other meaningful engagements

Develop energy plans and strategies for Fortune 500 companies, prepare presentations and close sales transactions.

Minimum Qualifications Associate Business Development Manager level:

Bachelor's degree in Business and 2-years experience, in lieu of degree 6-years experience

Outstanding communication skills and adept at speaking to large groups

Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products

Business Development Manager level:

Bachelor's degree and 5-years relevant experience, in lieu of degree 9 years of relevant experience

5-years business experience, preferably in sales

A wide network of contacts within the business community, federal government, elected officials, and public interest groups

Excellent organization and communication skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products

Preferred Qualifications (All levels)

Business to business sales experience

Energy sales experience in electric, nuclear, and gas commodity, demand response, solar and energy efficiency products, highly preferred

Sales experience within the Kentucky, Indianapolis, and/or Tennessee areas

Strong ability to generate leads and develop new business prospects

Experience meeting and exceeding sales metrics and KPI's

Passion for sales and the drive to succeed in a sales role
