Job Description Responsible for implementing processes and infrastructure to ensure high‑quality product delivery and timely operations. May involve applying basic technological concepts (e.g., data structures, database design) in collaboration with IT to support process improvement, risk mitigation, and due diligence. Responsibilities include gathering information, analyzing operational risk performance, identifying opportunities, and recommending improvements for product offerings.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Interact with Financial Advisors, senior leadership, and fund partners to troubleshoot service issues including new investments, commission payments, pricing, client statements, and redemptions.
Learn and employ basic technological concepts (e.g., data structures and database design) to work with IT on process improvement and risk mitigation projects.
Help run the operational infrastructure of proprietary hedge funds and private equity funds, and support operational due diligence on platform funds.
Engage Financial Advisors, fund sponsors, and home office departments to support all operational aspects of the Alternative Investment platform.
Submit client investments to fund sponsors, conduct suitability reviews on purchases, generate trade confirms, update positions and valuations on client statements, pay advisor commissions, process redemptions, and maintain account performance details.
Collaborate with fund sponsors to improve advisor and client experience.
Evaluate opportunities to create efficiencies.
Assist with complex research and investigations; prepare analyses.
Orient and train new team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of
Basic office practices, procedures, and methods
Basic accounting concepts
Operations in hedge funds, private equity firms, institutional consultants, or broker dealers
Client disclosure concepts and client confirms
All MS Office applications, including advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and formulas
SEC rules defining client accreditation standards
Basic database and technology concepts
Increasing effectiveness and efficiency of business processes through technology
Key internal and/or external contacts for assistance or expertise
FINRA and SEC rules
Skill in
Organization and time management to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Project management
Effective communication, both verbally and in writing, with detail and precision

Education and Previous Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, with a minimum of three years’ experience
or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training
Licenses and Certifications
SIE required unless exemption or grandfathering applies
Series 7 or Series 99, or ability to obtain within one year
Education Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, Economics, or Finance.
Work Experience General Experience: 7 to 12 months.
Travel Less than 25%.
