Logistics Technician – Logistics Messengers (80hrs Biweekly, Days)
Location:
MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, OH. Biweekly Hours:
80.00 Shift:
7:30 am – 4:00 pm
Summary:
Performs a variety of semi‑skilled and skilled work in the logistics department. Responsible for assembling, programming, servicing, and repairing medical equipment. Provides support regarding the use of specialized equipment.
Qualifications Required:
High School Graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
Previous experience working with the public.
Three years of experience in general maintenance or equivalent vocational/educational experience.
Completes bed repair course and obtains certification.
Ohio Driver’s License and one year of driving experience.
Ability to travel to other sites throughout the health system as needed.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:
Previous experience working in a healthcare environment.
Physical Requirements:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to lift 250–300 pounds with assistance. Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
