The Quality Assurance Analyst – Consultant will be assigned to projects for the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) in collaboration with the SCDHHS Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO is responsible for staffing all SCDHHS projects and establishing and monitoring IT-related governance and standards followed by enterprise project teams. The position supports the modernization of the State’s Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), which includes major transformation of culture, processes, and technology. Responsibilities
Perform tests on technical solutions to isolate and resolve issues Initiate tests, analyze results, and identify solutions to technical problems Develop test plans, QA and/or User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes and test cases Maintain SDLC traceability from test cases to requirements and designs/software components Design and support UI testing and regression testing Test software applications for reliability and stability Implement testing programs including negative testing and usability testing Design and/or execute automated testing scripts with oversight for deployment Participate in defect triage, retesting, and resolution Create quality assurance documentation and reports Adhere to software testing governance policies, best practices, and guidelines Perform reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections per governance standards Communicate and publish test status reports, issues, and gaps to development teams Required Skills
5+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios 5+ years building test cases and scenarios into test systems 3+ years deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid) 3+ years direct hands-on experience with formal test design tools Preferred Skills
5+ years experience with large enterprise or e-business systems 3+ years experience using testing tools such as Azure DevOps or Atlassian JIRA and Confluence 3+ years experience working in Waterfall SDLC and Agile delivery environments ICD-10 and Medicaid experience desirable Contact:
