Medical Assistant / Patient Representative - Full Time - Peekskill
A Medical Assistant helps patients and the clinical team at the designated health center in support of medical care as directed by nursing and medical staff and pursuant to the objectives and policies of the Center. This position performs job duties in compliance with systems and job‑specific standards and additional jobs or duties assigned.

Salary: $20.50–$22.00 per hour
Sign‑On Bonus: $1,500
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Complete the rooming process and take vital signs, vision, and/or hearing tests; record patient data in eCW (laboratory results, pain level, PEAS, PHQ, smoke status, etc.) and document the reason for the visit.
Perform in‑house labs and collect specimens for outside labs (e.g., Pap, cultures); perform quality control in accordance with organizational protocols.
Keep clinical area stocked and in good order; ensure all dated material is kept current and dispose of outdated supplies.
Clean and sterilize all equipment and log each time the service is performed.
Perform basic clerical work in the service area; answer phones appropriately, communicate problems/concerns to nurse, and handle telephone inquiries.
Ensure all appropriate logs are maintained.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Medical Assistant Certificate
Completion of a Medical Assistant training program
