Buyer
Temporary covering a FMLA for 4 - 8 weeks.
Onsite | Boise, Idaho
Pay: $30-35 per hour
Kelly Services is partnering with a world-class provider of vertically integrated solutions to the semiconductor market, to identify a Buyer to provide FMLA coverage for approximately four months. This is a 100% onsite role located in Boise, Idaho, supporting a fast‑paced, high‑performing procurement team.
Position Overview
The Buyer will support purchasing activities for low‑to intermediate‑dollar goods and services, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely, accurate procurement and order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
Purchase low‑to intermediate‑dollar término صرف goods and services requiring strong internal and external communication
Source items typically purchased from approved or known suppliers
Manage purchase orders including placement, tracking, expediting, changes, amendments, and closure
Coordinate sourcing and ordering activities with internal requestors and departments
Work with suppliers, finance, shipping/receiving, stores, and corporate teams to resolve procurement issues
Manage small blanket supply contracts for materials and services as needed
Maintain planning, forecasting, ordering, expediting, and follow‑up tools for assigned commodities
Balance relationship‑based responsibilities with high‑volume transactional work
Support internal customers by defining requirements, researching alternate sources, and assessing supplier financial health
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers
Act in the best interest of the department and company when making procurement decisions
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in Purchasing or a related field
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and other spreadsheet tools
Familiarity with purchasing concepts, supply chain management, and industry best practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to take clear, detailed notes and summarize meetings, agreements, and action items
Experience scheduling and leading meetings or conference calls with internal teams and suppliers
Professional demeanor with strong follow‑through and customer feedback practices
Comfortable working in a changing, fast‑paced environment
High School Diploma or GED required
