Job Summary Provides pricing and structural support to all of AEP Energy’s retail electric sales efforts. Responsibilities include identifying all components of cost that apply to serving retail customers including energy, capacity, transmission, and delivery charges. Determine product structure and prices quoted to retail customers, ensuring that the quotes conform to supply costs and other established pricing policies. Work with large data sets. Maintain and improve current knowledge and understanding of market trends, electric supply, and fundamentals across various RTOs.

Job Description What You’ll Do: Customer Specific Pricing

Produce accurate prices and products for a variety of customers for the sales team.

Assist in the development of pricing strategies and models for marketing campaigns and large customers or customer groups.

Communicate pricing results to sales staff and answer follow-up questions.

Track individual sales requests and resulting margin in closed deals.

Maintain close relationship with sales team.

Document Pricing Cycle time and other performance metrics.

Energy Risk Management

Assist the Risk Group in maintaining the appropriate level of risk when pricing deals by including the appropriate amount of margin, incorporating the appropriate LDC rates, and making sure the model works correctly.

Continually gain more understanding of market fundamentals across various LDC's, as well as maintain current knowledge, understanding, and monitoring of current supply costs relative to the pricing of electric supply.

What We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, sciences or a related field is required.

Experience: 0-1+ years in commercial energy transacting organization desired.

Preferred Qualifications

Basic knowledge/experience with Microsoft products including Excel & SQL.

Familiarity with energy markets, utilities or regulated industries.

Familiarity with Power BI.

Internship or project experience in pricing, analytics or financial modeling.

$54,063.00 - $67,579.00
