The Contract Coordinator role supports Independence Physician Management (IPM), a UHS subsidiary that operates multi‑specialty physician networks and urgent‑care clinics across 11 markets.
Responsibilities
Manage contract authorization management agreements (CAMs) and service/vendor contracts, ensuring accurate and orderly contract databases and associated files.
Examine contract language and performance requirements to guarantee completeness and accuracy; act as liaison with contractors and coordinate incentive quality performance measures.
Prepare, process, and maintain correspondence, calendars, meeting minutes, and filing for the IPM Market Director and department; maintain inventory of supplies.
Schedule and prepare for staff and board meetings; handle telephone inquiries professionally and courteously.
Assist with contract coordination, tracking, and obtaining required documentation and signatures from physicians and other providers.
Provide excellent customer service and foster effective working relationships with all leadership levels.
Process contract routing packages and enter data into UHS, CAM, and Apttus approval and tracking databases; obtain necessary approvals and follow up for timely completion.
Maintain Excel files for Contract and CAM milestone dates; alert responsible departments of upcoming expirations and deadlines.
Partner with Finance to process check requests and disburse checks accurately and timely.
Track contract approvals and quality assurance efforts; perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent required.
Associate’s Degree in business or a healthcare‑related field required, or five (5) years of equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of an associate’s degree.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an administrative or executive assistant role within a healthcare environment.
