This position performs a variety of data entry and support in the creation, maintenance, and closing of case files for the Solicitor’s Office; performs directly related work as required.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $17.26 - $22.61

OPEN UNTIL FILLED – APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELY.

Duties

հյուր Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of case records process.

Prepare and open new cases in the proper database, ensuring all data entries are correct and include clients’ personal information, police reports, preliminary hearing requests, court dates, grand jury true bill dates, bench warrant data, bond information, mugshots, multi‑media files, etc.

Prepare, type, log, distribute, update and audit various documents—including lists of jail cases and incident reports—ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all paper and computer case files.

Run and create various reports; research new warrants to determine whether client files should be updated.

Answer telephone calls, receive and greet visitors to the office, provide information or refer to appropriate personnel.

Perform criminal history and driving records checks, obtaining certified records of criminal convictions using state and local law enforcement databases.

Process warrants, police reports, pre‑arraignments and roll‑call verification.

Act as backup for other Case Management Specialists, Administrative Assistant I’s, and Receptionist positions.

Ensure confidentiality in all phases of duties.

Respond to questions and comments in a courteous and timely manner; keep immediate supervisor and designated others fully and accurately informed concerning work progress.

May be designated to report to work during hazardous weather or emergency conditions.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of modern office procedures, practices and equipment; be skilled in operating a personal computer using standard or customized software.

Exercise tact, discretion and sound judgment in addressing sensitive or confidential matters with accuracy and speed嘎 under time‑sensitive deadlines.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

muist? Minimum Education

High School diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science or Criminal Justice preferred.

Minimum Qualification

Two (2) or more years of experience in data entry in a law office; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
