Position Summary The Commercial Loan Processing Specialist I is responsible for validating all due diligence requirements, authenticating loan documents were executed properly, and ensuring funds will be disbursed as agreed in accordance with credit approval, lending policy, state laws, and banking regulations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Understand all relevant bank lending policies, loan processing policies, and procedures, state laws, and banking regulations.
Monitor the pipeline to ensure incoming requests are processed within the service level.
Work with lenders and lending assistants to resolve issues.
Exhibit actions and behaviors that align with the key values of the organization.
Verify loan documents are accurate and in compliance with credit approval.
Validate due diligence requirements have been met.
Authenticate loan documents are properly executed by lender and customer.
Verify fees and loan proceeds will be disbursed properly.
Verify all closing conditions have been met.
Verify receipt of all required loan documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 year of banking experience.
Knowledge of commercial loan documentation and regulations as well as basic knowledge of debits and credits and loan terminology.
Skills & Abilities Required
Proven track record of working in a fast paced, customer service, deadline driven environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
Work Environment
Moderate noise (business office with computers, phone, and printers). Light traffic.
Ability to work in a confined area.
Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time; occasional stooping or kneeling may be necessary.
Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Light to moderate lifting is required.
Compensation Hourly: $17.36 - $23.80
