We are searching for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our award‑winning team. You will source raw materials, products and services, manage vendor relationships, and create buying strategies that balance quality, service and cost while reducing duplication and enhancing inventory control.

Job Summary The primary function of the Procurement Specialist is to source raw materials, products and services while managing vendor relationships, developing a buying strategy, and ensuring the procurement process supports company goals and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage vendor relationships and maintain a preferred vendor list.

Develop short‑ and long‑term strategic purchasing schedules aligned with company goals.

Use a rating/ranking system to evaluate vendor performance and conduct annual business reviews.

Work with vendors to procure critical, complex, or difficult‑to‑acquire supplies.

Research new sources, recommend substitutes, and negotiate contracts and prices.

Alert estimators and sales personnel to price changes and maintain system pricing and budgets.

Complete RFQs/RFPs, perform cost analysis, issue purchase orders, and ensure timely invoice payments.

Ensure quality of procured items, address defects, and initiate corrective action in collaboration with quality personnel.

Monitor market conditions, source multiple bids, and streamline procurement processes.

Track and manage supplier deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and process receiving reports and invoices.

Maintain inventory, develop overflow outsourcing relationships, and keep records of all orders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business administration preferred.

Previous experience in a purchasing role for a manufacturing company.

Experience using procurement software and databases.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and research skills.

Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and problem‑identification skills.

Attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset.

Proficiency with computer applications.
