Metrology Technician – Piper Companies
Piper Companies is seeking a Metrology Technician to support calibration and maintenance activities for critical instruments within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional with hands‑on experience in pharma metrology and calibrations.
Responsibilities
Perform calibration and maintenance on instruments including temperature, pH, TOC, conductivity, humidity, and pressure devices.
Accurately and legibly record all activities in appropriate documentation systems.
Write work orders and ensure compliance with established procedures and regulatory standards.
Support work surges and lulls with flexibility; standard schedule is 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, but some weeks may require up to 50 hours.
Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve calibration issues promptly.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of pharmaceutical metrology/calibration experience.
Strong knowledge of calibration techniques for temperature, pH, TOC, conductivity, humidity, and pressure instruments.
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and follow GMP guidelines.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $60,000 – $80,000 depending on experience.
Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO.
On‑site role in Clayton, NC.
