Night Legal Administrative Assistant
Part time Monday-Friday 4-9pm or Full-time schedule.
Base pay range
$75,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive evening administrative support across all practice groups, ensuring seamless handoffs from day teams and continuity of client service.
- Draft, format, proofread, edit legal documents and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy; ensure timely completion of urgent filings and client communications.
- Assist with time entry and billing processes, ensuring accurate recording of attorney hours and timely submission of client invoices.
- Handle confidential information with discretion, maintaining strict compliance with Firm policies and client confidentiality standards.
- Serve as a resource for urgent projects, including proofreading, document assembly, and mailings.
- Manage and organize legal documents, including filing, scanning, and indexing.
- Assist with client billing.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of Legal Assistant experience, in a mid-size to large Firm preferred.
Required Skills
- Expertise in Microsoft Word (styles), iManage (or comparable document filing system), Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Comprehensive understanding of PDF (Kofax, Adobe) functions.
- Top‑notch customer service skills – internally and externally.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to timely and accurately follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
- A high level of professionalism, organization, flexibility, thoughtfulness, initiative, and reliability to appropriately set priorities and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A consistent “can do” approach, and the ability to remain cool and professional under pressure.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client and Firm matters.
- Creative problem‑solving skills and the ability to anticipate the next question or task.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the Firm.
- Ability to adjust work schedule to accommodate occasional overtime work.
