The Company is seeking a Vice President of Estimating and Business Development to lead its commercial and preconstruction activities. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the executive team, driving strategic growth, and overseeing estimating operations. This role requires a hands-on executive with a strong background in heavy civil, demolition, and earthwork construction, who can lead client acquisition and retention efforts. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring the estimating and business development teams, developing and implementing strategic growth plans, and overseeing bid strategy and preconstruction processes to ensure competitiveness and profitability. The role also involves directing marketing and brand initiatives, establishing key account frameworks, and representing the company at various industry and community events.
Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive leadership experience in estimating, business development, or executive management within the relevant construction sectors. A proven track record in developing and executing growth strategies, strong background in managing estimating teams, and experience in various construction project types are essential. The ideal candidate will have expertise in forecasting, pipeline management, and market strategy development, with a strong financial acumen capable of linking business initiatives to profitability and EBITDA outcomes. While not mandatory, a background in TxDOT, airport, bridge, grading, abatement, and/or major earthwork projects is strongly preferred.
