About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Information Services and Chief Information Officer to play a pivotal role in the institution's digital transformation. The successful candidate will be a mission-aligned IS leader, providing vision and leadership for technology strategy, academic technology, cybersecurity, and enterprise digital infrastructure. Key responsibilities include serving as a trusted advisor on emerging technologies, developing and implementing a forward-looking technology strategy, and overseeing the Information Services Division. The role also involves guiding digital modernization efforts, expanding analytics capabilities, and preparing for a transition to a cloud-based environment. The VP and CIO will be expected to ensure the ethical and innovative use of AI, support enterprise risk management practices, and maintain a robust compliance and cybersecurity environment.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a preference for an advanced degree, and at least 7 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior or executive-level role. The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting, and enterprise technology strategy, particularly in a higher education setting. Strong expertise in digital transformation, cloud computing, and cybersecurity frameworks is essential. The role requires a deep understanding of data governance, analytics platforms, and AI-driven decision support systems, as well as familiarity with academic technologies and administrative systems.
