About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President and Vice President for Trade Closing. The successful candidates will be responsible for leading the closing process of primary and secondary loans, with a focus on bespoke private credit structures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Portfolio Managers, Traders, Legal, and Operations, to achieve accurate and timely loan settlements. Key duties include implementing process improvements to reduce settlement risks, supporting automation initiatives, and monitoring settlement pipelines to provide updates on close timelines. The role also requires the reconciliation of financial data, review of trade documentation for accuracy, and adherence to internal controls, regulatory obligations, and trading desk guidelines.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred, and 5-12+ years of experience in loan operations or trade closing at a credit fund or investment bank. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in closing primary allocations and middle-market/private credit trades, a strong understanding of LSTA/LMA documentation, and proficiency with relevant systems. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential. The role also requires demonstrated communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and the ability to manage high-volume pipelines while meeting tight deadlines.
