About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director, Chief of Staff for Clinical, a key member of the Medical Senior Leadership Team. This strategic operations role is pivotal in supporting the execution of short and long-term vision and strategic plans. The successful candidate will partner with the Chief Medical Officer and functional leadership of the Clinical and Medical Affairs Department to articulate a department-wide strategic plan that aligns with organizational objectives. Responsibilities include providing cross-functional strategic leadership for business operations, process improvement, and operational excellence, as well as being accountable for departmental resource planning and contributing to R&D and business development portfolio strategy. The role also involves leading engagement with professional advocacy organizations and driving the creation of scientific steering committees for sound strategic planning.

Applicants must have a PharmD/PhD in life sciences with 12+ years of relevant biotech/biopharma experience, or an MD with 6+ years of similar experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive cross-functional leadership experience in clinical development, medical affairs, and clinical operations. They should be excellent communicators, skilled diplomats, and possess proven networking and stakeholder management skills. A thorough understanding of drug development, life-cycle management, and healthcare compliance is essential. The role requires a trusted advisor with the ability to influence at all levels, strong leadership and coaching skills, and a proactive, innovative approach to problem-solving. The candidate should be a strategic thinker, with the ability to lead change and ensure operational excellence.
