Data Center Foreman (Infrastructure & Deployment) We are seeking a high-performing Data Center Foreman to serve as a vital link between site management and field execution. You will lead multiple installation crews in the deployment of complex network infrastructure, including rack integration and large-scale cabling projects. This role requires a "lead-by-example" approach, ensuring that hyperscale and multi-tenant data center environments are built to exact specifications with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. Core Responsibilities Field Leadership & Production: Direct and mentor multiple crews to meet strict project milestones. You will coordinate daily tasks, monitor productivity, and provide weekly progress updates to the Project Manager. Technical Oversight: Supervise the end-to-end installation of structured cabling systems. You must ensure that all copper and fiber terminations, certifications, and troubleshooting align with client "portmaps" and local codes. Site Coordination: Act as the primary field contact for Engineers and other trade contractors. De-conflict work schedules to ensure seamless execution in both new builds and "live" production environments. Resource Management: Forecast labor requirements and validate all material needs before project phases begin to ensure zero downtime. Quality & Safety Assurance: Oversee site safety conditions and perform QA/QC inspections. Ensure all team members follow rigorous customer guidelines and maintain a clean, professional workspace. Staff Development: Identify strengths and growth opportunities within your team leads, recommending specific training (e.g., BICSI/FOA) to enhance technical capabilities. Candidate Profile Direct Experience: 5+ years of experience in the installation of standard cabling technologies and rack infrastructure within large-scale data center environments. Leadership Track Record: Documented experience leading multiple crews and managing mid-to-large scale build projects. Technical Proficiency: * Mastery of both copper and fiber optics (installation, termination, and certification). Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, architectural drawings, and network diagrams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project) for tracking and reporting. Certifications: Certified Cabling Test Technician ( CFTT ) and Certified Fiber Installer ( CFI ) or equivalents (BICSI/FOA) are highly preferred. Physical Requirements Mobility: Primarily walking, standing, and bending for extended periods on a construction site. Dexterity: Precise hand-eye coordination for technical terminations and operating testing equipment. Capability: Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds and work comfortably from ladders or raised platforms. 5 years of experience
