About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President and Vice President, Reinsurance Actuary to join their team. The successful candidates will be responsible for applying their actuarial skills to the development of loss models, supporting reinsurance pricing, and designing optimal reinsurance structures that are tailored to client risk profiles and underwriting strategies. This role requires the ability to communicate complex analyses clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as providing strategic, value-added analytical support to clients to enhance their decision-making around risk transfer and capital management.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or a related field, be skilled in R, Python, or other coding languages, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience with progress towards an actuarial credential. The role also involves engaging in market research, contributing to the development of new solutions and insights within the reinsurance industry, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including actuaries, catastrophe modelers, capital markets advisors, and enterprise risk specialists to deliver comprehensive client solutions. A high level of integrity, a strong sense of urgency, and a results-oriented approach are essential for this position.
