Senior Accountant

Must have CPA or EA experience We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing public accounting and tax practice. This role is ideal for a highly detail-oriented professional with strong accounting and U.S. tax expertise who can independently manage client engagements and support junior team members. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, managing accounting functions, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065) Perform tax planning, compliance, and projections for clients Prepare and review financial statements and general ledger reconciliations Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide mentoring Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting and tax matters Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations Assist with audits, advisory projects, and special accounting assignments Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 5–7+ years of experience in public accounting or CPA firm environment Strong hands-on experience with U.S. tax and accounting Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online & Desktop) and Microsoft Excel Solid knowledge of GAAP and federal/state tax regulations Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Preferred Qualifications: CPA or EA certification.
