About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Agriculture Technology and Markets to spearhead its global efforts in transforming the lives of smallholder farmers. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of developing and implementing inclusive, climate-smart agriculture and market strategies. This pivotal role involves leading the integration of innovative finance, technology, and market solutions to ensure that farming becomes a sustainable business for millions of families. The Executive Director will be responsible for shaping the company's global agriculture strategy, promoting digital agriculture tools, and representing the organization at international platforms. Additionally, the role requires a strong focus on turning evidence into action, building partnerships, and mobilizing resources to support the mission.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 12 years' senior leadership experience in agricultural finance and market systems development. The role demands a proven track record in securing funding from various sources, including institutional donors and corporates, as well as strong financial acumen and in-depth knowledge of agri-SME finance, digital agriculture, and climate-smart technologies. The Executive Director will also be responsible for leading a global team, coaching senior technical advisors, and ensuring the organization is positioned as a leader in climate-resilient, inclusive agricultural market transformation. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a skilled communicator, and a passionate advocate for the empowerment of smallholder farmers, particularly women, in the face of the challenges they encounter.
