Heavy Equipment Operator
to join our team in Emporia Virginia. We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator skilled in operating
bulldozers and excavators . The ideal candidate will have expertise in fine grading with a bulldozer, planning filling operations, and establishing and maintaining roads. This role requires precision, efficiency, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity. to perform fine grading, excavation, and material placement efficiently. Plan and execute filling
operations to ensure proper compaction and stability. Establish and maintain roads, ensuring proper drainage and durability. Interpret site plans, grade
stakes, and survey markers to execute work accurately. Monitor equipment performance and
conduct routine inspections and maintenance. Follow all safety guidelines and
regulations to maintain a secure work environment. Communicate effectively with site
supervisors, truck drivers, and other crew members. Adjust grading based on site
conditions, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating
bulldozers and excavators in construction, land development, or site
preparation. Expertise in fine grading with a
bulldozer. Ability to plan and optimize
filling operations efficiently. Strong understanding of
road-building techniques, including proper compaction and drainage. Knowledge of construction safety
regulations and procedures. Ability to read and interpret
blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes. Strong problem-solving skills and
ability to adapt to changing site conditions. Excellent communication and
teamwork skills. 5 years of experience as a Heavy
Equipment Operator. Ability to work in various
weather conditions and lift up to 75 lbs. Reliable transportation and
ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed. We offer

Pay depends on experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. The employee may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts while on the field site.
